Monroe County compiles federal stimulus wish list for $22.4 million for roads

If federal stimulus money makes its way to Monroe County, highway director Bill Williams has his project wish list all ready.

Williams is just waiting to hear the final word on how the state's estimated $4 billion to $5 billion share of the proposed stimulus package could be distributed to counties. The U.S. Senate is still considering the package, which could mean billions for education, health care, infrastructure, aid and benefits, energy, science and technology, and housing.
