Monroe County schools looking at $4 million in cuts, raising fears of job losses

The 3.5 percent cut for K-12 education funding announced, then accelerated, by Gov. Mitch Daniels translates into millions of lost dollars for Monroe County schools.

Monroe County Community School Corp. comptroller Tim Thrasher estimated this week that the MCCSC must either reduce expenditures or increase revenues by "at least" $4 million.
