Monroe County schools see staff cuts coming in wake of state funding cuts

The precise dollar figures for cuts to each school district's general fund were released to district administrators today by the state and they weren't pretty, with declines reportedly averaging 4.55 percent.

The Monroe County Community School Corp.'s overall reduction, including money lost through a 277-student enrollment decline, is $3.5 million, a 5.7 percent decrease.
