Purdue reaches tuition compromise

A state lawmaker has accepted Purdue University's plan to relieve a tuition hike for students but says it may be just the starting point for more changes.

Purdue announced Tuesday that it will use federal stimulus funds to increase financial aid to qualifying students to cover the tuition increase for this year and next, and rebate part of a fee next year.
