Casino Aztar saw more guests in June as compared to the previous year, while French Lick’s visitor count dropped.
Casino Aztar had 101,282 visitors last month, up 1.3 percent from June 2009. French Lick had 84,450 visitors, down 16.1 percent from the previous June.
Statewide, casino attendance rose last month, with Indiana’s 13 casinos reporting a total of 2.17 million visitors in June. That’s a rise of 2.1 percent from June 2009.
The numbers come from the Indiana Gaming Commission’s monthly revenue report, released today. The report details how many people visited Indiana’s casinos, how much they spent on gaming and how much each casino paid in taxes.

Aztar reported that its guests spent $5.6 million on table games and $80.9 million on electronic gaming machines last month, as compared to $5.8 million and $82.4 million, respectively, in June 2009.
Aztar paid a total of $3 million in admission and wagering taxes in June, as compared to $2.9 million the previous June.
French Lick guests spent a reported $5.3 million on table games and $62.8 million on electronic gaming, as compared to $5.7 million and $70.4 million, respectively, the previous June.
French Lick paid $2.2 million in admission and wagering taxes in June, as compared to $2.4 million the previous June.
