A water emergency has been declared by Napoleon Community Rural Water Corp. superintendent Gene Eaton.
“It is imperative to the well-being of the citizens of the town of Osgood and the customers of Napoleon Water and Holton Water that the use of water not essential to the health, welfare and safety of its citizens, businesses and municipal customers be restricted,” he said.
In accordance with Ordinance 2002-5, Section 7, users shall be prohibited from sprinkling, watering or irrigating shrubs, trees, grass, ground covers, plants, vines, gardens, vegetables or other vegetation; washing vehicles, trailers, mobile homes or other equipment; cleaning or spraying sidewalks, driveways, paved areas or other outdoor surfaces; washing business machinery; filling swimming pools, wading pools and ornamental fountains; knowingly allowing leakage through defective plumbing.
