MUNCIE -- The city's last downtown hotel, shuttered for more than two years, would become luxury apartments under a plan announced Wednesday by the building's owner.

The Roberts Hotel would become the Roberts Luxury Residences, offering 54 apartments ranging in size from studios to four-bedroom suites at rent ranging from $695 to $2,500 a month.
