Indiana Tech sees enrollment grow for fall 2009

Indiana Tech reported its fall enrollment increased by about 500 students from last year.

Total enrollment at the school's Fort Wayne campus as well as at satellite campuses and online was 4,898, up from 4,404 last year, according to a written statement from the school.

Nearly 1,000 students are enrolled in Indiana Tech's traditional program in Fort Wayne. There are 410 students taking classes primarily online, a dramatic increase from 58 last year.

The school has more than 400 new students this year, an increase of 13 percent from last year. It is the largest group of new students in 40 years, according to Indiana Tech.
