Taylor University sees enrollment jump for fall 2009

Taylor University saw its total enrollment increase to more than 2,500 in the fall semester, the school said in a statement.

Enrollment included 435 online students and 123 graduate students, according to preliminary data. Taylor operates an MBA program in Fort Wayne as well as WBCL radio and some nondegree programs.

Undergraduate enrollment was 1,975 students, an increase from 1,871 a year ago, according to the statement. The most popular majors are elementary education, psychology, biology, media communications and exercise science.

Taylor University is based in Upland.
