East Central Indiana unemployment down slightly for August 2010

MUNCIE -- Unemployment in Delaware County eased slightly in August.

The local jobless rate was 11 percent in August, down from 11.6 percent in July, according to figures released Tuesday by Indiana Department of Workforce Development.

Delaware County now ranks 19th among 92 counties in the state for unemployment. Blackford and Henry counties remain in the top five.
