Monroe County unemployment drops to 7.6 percent for August 2010, 7th lowest in state

The Monroe County unemployment rate dropped slightly in August, according to state unemployment figures released Tuesday by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.

The county jobless rate fell to 7.6 percent in August, down from 7.8 percent in July and a record-high 8.4 percent in June.
