Purdue University officials expect to identify more than $30 million in cuts from the West Lafayette campus budget in the next five months.

Employee layoffs, job reassignments, and decreased program funding are possibilities that could begin early next year. The reduction, officials say, is preparation for an anticipated $70 million shortfall in the next two-year budget cycle fueled by declining state revenues.
