Room and board rates at Indiana University will increase 5.7 percent next fall, a jump over this school year's 4 percent increase, and more than the last two years' 5 percent hike in tuition.
The IU Board of Trustees approved the rate hike at its meeting Friday. The most common room and board rate at IU, now $7,138 for a year in an air-conditioned, two-bed room with meal plan, will increase to $7,546.
