Lebanon - Although the Lebanon Community School Corporation budget picture is currently bleak, the school board voted Tuesday to eliminate fewer teachers than originally projected.
Superintendent Dr. Robert Taylor recommended in March that teacher positions in the high school, middle school and four elementary schools be cut by 9.5 full-time employees. But Taylor presented an adjusted number Tuesday, and the board accepted - five elementary teachers will not return next year.
"And we hope that three more, and possibly all of them, will be brought back by the end of the year," Taylor said.
