Progress Rail sets another job fair for Muncie

MUNCIE -- Overwhelmed by thousands of jobseekers this past Saturday, Progress Rail Services has announced another job fair for its Muncie locomotive plant.

The Alabama-based division of Caterpillar announced Tuesday it planned to have another job fair in Muncie on March 3. Progress Rail spokesman Barbara Cox said the location of the upcoming job fair would be announced.

Saturday's job fair, held in the Horizon Convention Center, was supposed to run 9 a.m.-3 p.m. but was shut down around 11:30 a.m. after an estimated 3,000 to 4,000 jobseekers showed up.
