Second Progress Rail job fair in Muncie sparsely attended

MUNCIE -- The sound of a train passing nearby echoed off the walls within the Horizon Convention Center late Saturday morning.

Three cars were parked across from the main entrance along South High Street; another 15 or so vehicles were scattered in the center's large parking lot along the south end of the building.

Inside Horizon's exhibit hall, where Progress Rail Services was holding its second job fair in less than a month, hundreds of chairs sat empty in the middle of the large, silent room as company officials quietly conducted a couple interviews in the back.
